Benjamin S. Salsbury, Esq.

Benjamin S. Salsbury is a founding member of Salsbury Sullivan, LLC who devotes his life to helping people and families seek justice after tragedy.  Ben has spent his entire career handling medical malpractice, personal injury, and general liability cases.  He has litigated cases in virtually every jurisdiction in Maryland as well as the District of Columbia.  Ben has obtained numerous verdicts and settlements for his clients in medical negligence, personal injury, premises liability, and construction matters.  In 2022, Ben obtained the largest verdict in Frederick County history on behalf of the family of a deceased father and husband.

Ben has been recognized by several organizations including Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers as a leading medical malpractice lawyer in Maryland.  In 2021, Ben was inducted into the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates.  In 2023, Ben received the Star Award from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law for his service to the legal community.

Ben graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in the spring of 2007, where he served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Healthcare Law and Policy, a member of the National Trial Team, and a member of the National Healthcare Moot Court Team.  Upon graduation he received the Law, Litigation and Advocacy Award.  

Ben remains an active member of his law school community as a teacher and mentor.  He has served as a Director of the National Trial Team and is currently an Adjunct Professor of Advanced Trial Practice and The Master’s Class in Trial Advocacy.  Ben has also been honored to serve on the Board of Visitors at the law school since 2017. 

Ben lives in Baltimore City with his wife and two daughters.  He coaches youth soccer and lacrosse.  He and his wife have created a scholarship for students at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
